Hey there! Nathan again. In order to go on in HS101, you need to be able to articulate your own awareness-guiding personal value phrases and those of others. If you struggle, you'll need to keep training your skills in ❣️Emotions to Values and 💡Wisdom Interviews.
Note: This is not an arbitrary obstacle. Articulating clear, awareness-guiding personal values is the foundation of the rest of what you will learn in HS101.
Round 1: Digging for Personal Values
An Honesty Value
Use the tools at your disposal to articulate one of your personal values around "honesty"

Round 2: Finding Values Moment to Moment
Impulses/Appreciations to Values
Clear your mind with a few deep breaths. Then sit quietly for a minute or two and write down three things that you notice wanting to do (impulses) or that are beautiful or inspiring to you right now (appreciations).

Now use whatever method seems appropriate to you (on my own terms, emotions to values, intuition, journaling, etc.) to find the personal value phrases that lie behind theses small experiences. Make sure to filter out expectations and outcomes!

Round 3: Starting a Redesign Project

Social Processes You Could Redesign
A social process is something a group of people do that can be described as a game: composed of roles, rules, and steps, where it goes roughly the same way every time. For your first redesign, we will focus on smaller scale systems.
Room-scale
Group practices party formats, bars, clubs, debate structures, group therapy or support practices, church meetings, improv scores
Family & shared living family dinner, chores, partnership expectations, parent-child time
Rituals daily practices, weddings, funerals, coming of age, new team members, trials
Org-scale
Organizational policies promotions reviews, project planning meetings, budget allocation, stand-ups, reporting structures
Workplaces team checkins, lunches, group physical activities
Schools grading, classroom exercises, teamwork structures, credentialing practices
