Intention
- Celebrate end of class
- Chance for students to share / present something they worked on / learned
Vibes we want to create
- Quiet contemplation of class
- Sacred Recognition
- Silly Celebration
Set up:
- Takes place with the whole cohort (or a group of at least 3-4 people) and at least 2 trainers (ideally all trainers) after everyone has taken all classes.
- Length: 45 min with an optional 15 min to hang out together afterwards
Collective Graduation Ritual
Quiet contemplation of class (25')
- Arrival. (5') When students join the call, there's silence, no one of HS team is visible, mystical music and a mystical background photo. Once all students are there, HS team emerges on screen- all with a weird costume (ie. hat, black tooth, wig) that's pointing to their HS name / archetype. Lastly the story-teller emerges. (5')
- A meditation / story. (5') Guiding them through the arch of the class. Inviting them to remember any Aha moments, moments of struggle and of gratitude. Everyone closes their eyes while listening.
A dark night in February. 4 humans are gathering in a Berlin flat in front of a glowing device. They are beaming in some others from the other side of the planet. ... etc..
- Sharing circle. (15')
—> A new value I discovered in class I want to share, and why? (Maybe because it's beautiful, because it was surprising or it's an edge value)
—> The hardest of all hard steps I have identified
—> A salvage I came up with (game, redesign..) or something I approach differently now
Sacred Recognition (10')
- Ceremony. 10'
- Each student is called "to the front" one by one.
- Someone from core team shares a sentence of recognition. (ie. something they appreciated about the student or sweet memory of the class with that student).
- Each student is initiated with a new name into the sacred tribe of Human Systems Humans. With the sentence "I Dirty Food (name of HS trainer) initiate you Radiant Starseed from Grandmother Planet (HS student name) into our tribe. May your path be full of obstacles that you can identify and build fruitful redesigns for."
Silly Celebration (10')
- We play some funky tunes.
- We instruct everyone to grab an object from their room/ house that helps them to embody the value they shared and come back to dance with that object, embodying that value.

Appreciation: When in EtV class she wanted to try and interview Nathan (without even having looked at epiphany moves) and really kicked ass.

Feedback Call (before ritual)
Thank your for joining our class! We really enjoyed teaching you and would be really grateful for your feedback. We are planning a little graduation ceremony within the next 2 weeks with other people from your cohort. Invitation to come soon. For now here's a few questions we have.
Feedback
- Which parts of the class did you find most useful, interesting and fun, which parts were not useful, interesting and fun? (concepts, exercises, modules)
- Which modules could you explain best and what might you still struggle with?
- Did you enjoy the teaching style, what could we do better?
Application
- Have you applied anything you learnt as part of HSC in your private life or at work? How (any designs/ redesigns)? Can we do a case study?
Referrals
- Do you know anyone for whom the class would be really useful for? (whose life or work might this class change for the better) Can you tell us about them and them about us?
- Do you know any organizations or projects that might be interested in doing company workshops or consulting gigs with us?
- On a bigger scale, what networks, sub-cultures, movements do you know of that we should connect to?
Next steps
- Is there something you'd still like to redesign? Do you need collaborators? What kind?
- How do the coming months look like for you? What's your availability?
